While average customer consumption patterns and background leakage form the bulk of the demand in most systems, hydraulic models often need to account for specific, sometimes critical, "special" demand scenarios. Furthermore, one of the key uses of a model is to plan for the future. This section will cover both of these important aspects. First, we'll discuss how to incorporate required fire demands (often referred to as fire flows) into your model.
