Once you've started to gather your data, you'll need the right tools to bring it all together and actually construct your hydraulic model. This section provides an overview of common hydraulic modeling platforms you're likely to encounter, from the industry-standard EPANET (which is free and open source) to various commercial packages like InfoWater, WaterGEMS, or Innovyze products.
While each software has its own interface and specific features, a key message of this course is that the fundamental principles of good model building are software-agnostic — the techniques you learn here will be applicable across any tool you choose.
