Communicating planning outcomes

✏️Course in Development

Just a heads-up—this section is still a work in progress! I’ll be revising and expanding it soon to make sure it’s as useful as possible. Curious about what’s already done or currently in the works? Check the changelog for updates.

You've done the hard technical work: forecasted demands, developed scenarios, run countless simulations, and identified a set of recommended infrastructure improvements. But how do you effectively communicate these complex, model-driven findings to a diverse range of stakeholders, many of whom may not be hydraulic modeling experts?

This section focuses on the crucial skill of translating your technical results into clear, understandable, and compelling information. Your audience might include utility managers who need to make budget decisions, elected officials or city councils who need to approve projects, regulatory bodies who need to see compliance plans, and even the general public who might be impacted by rate changes or construction activities.
