Just a heads-up—this section is still a work in progress! I’ll be revising and expanding it soon to make sure it’s as useful as possible. Curious about what’s already done or currently in the works? Check the changelog for updates.
You've developed your planning scenarios and run the simulations in your hydraulic model. Now comes the critical task of interpreting those results to pinpoint exactly where, when, and how your existing or planned system will fail to meet its performance targets in the future.
This section will detail how to effectively use your model outputs to identify these future problems before they become real-world crises. We’ll look at how to systematically analyze results to find areas that are likely to experience low pressures below your utility's minimum service levels, potentially leading to customer complaints or inadequate supply. Identifying hydrants with inadequate fire flows under future demand conditions is another crucial safety-related output.
